Who's Ubaldo? Ubaldo Díaz and the Díaz family were amongst the first settlers in Jacó. Living in huts, they occupied the land located along what is now Calle Bohío. Ubaldo had a daughter, Yorleni. As a wedding gift to Yorleni and Juan Calderon, Ubaldo gave them land. Part of the land that was gifted is where the coffee shop and the roastery are currently located. When thinking of a name for the coffee shop, it only seemed fit to include the man that made all of this possible, Ubaldo Díaz. Bohío, Spanish for hut, was home to him and is now home for us!
